Frequently asked questions

Q. How do I refer myself or someone else (I'm paying)?

See Low Cost services for referral forms and treatment prices.

Q. How does an organisation refer/or get a therapist/facilitator to their group??

Please email us your requirements so we can discuss a fee which could be from £35 - £100 per hour per facilitator / therapist depending on the needs of your individual or group and how many hours needed. If you have funding, or are going for funding, do let us know, so we can see how we can work in partnership with you. We could also see how we could include your group in our next funding bid, if you can let us know how we could help you.

Q. Do you work with people in a wheelchair?

Yes we do. We have done events for people in wheelchairs at their usual meet up place. We can also see people for therapy (after approved via the referral form and first treatment/assessment). We have seen a range of people, from those who are recovering from stroke or cancer to those who have spina bifida or cerebral palsy. However please note that due to the extra time needed with some clients for their carers to help them on and off the couch we may have to charge an extra £5 for the extra time.

Q. Do you do home visits?

We have done home visits for those who cannot make it to a treatment room (if the locality is within Lewisham or surrounding boroughs), however the cost will be higher (also the carer or nurse(s) must be present). Before the therapist/facilitator is sent out, the visit must be paid for in advance via BACS/Direct transfer to Therapy 4 Healing or pay in person/send a cheque to head office (this must be cleared before the home visit). We would also have already received the referral form with proof of status/condition.

Q. Who delivers your services?

All facilitators, therapists, counsellors and workshop leaders are required to ensure T4H has a record of their professional qualifications, CV and insurance as applicable. Some specialist providers also have to belong to a professional body to ensure they follow a code of conduct. All those working with children, young people and vulnerable adults are required to have an Enhanced DBS (CRB) and some are required to have a basic NSPCC child protection training in line with our Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults policy. If we have concerns we follow the Lewisham Safeguarding guidelines.

Q. What is your Governance?

Therapy 4 Healing (T4H) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, meaning all surplus funds are reinvested to enhance and expand our charitable services within the community.

Our leadership team includes a minimum of three directors and a dedicated Board of Management, bringing extensive experience across key sectors, including HR strategy, social care, nursing, public and private sectors, complementary health, project management, and training. This diverse expertise ensures our services are managed with strategic oversight and a deep understanding of community needs.

We take our responsibility to funders, partners, and service users seriously, maintaining robust policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Safeguarding for Children and Vulnerable Adults, and Equal Opportunities. Anyone working directly with vulnerable adults or children must hold an up-to-date DBS certificate, and all hands-on therapies for these groups require a parent, guardian, or carer present.

At T4H, we are committed to safeguarding privacy and will never sell or rent personal data. Any data sharing or marketing communications are conducted only with explicit consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

Read Privacy Policy here.
