As part of our work in the health equity project in the Modality Lewisham PCN, we are proud to announce a new initiative of our community health and wellbeing walk and talk project.
The plan is to have weekly walks from each of our GP practices for patients to attend for very gentle exercise and opportunities to chat to each other. Meet up with Naomi (CEO of T4H) and Dr Callum Macphee of Jenner practice, a GP you can talk to!!
To begin with, these will be from the Jenner practice and from Bellingham green but once we have confirmed walk leaders we are aiming to extend to SLGP as well.
Tuesdays from the Jenner car park:
11th, 18th, 25th of June
2nd, 9th of July
Meeting at 11am for 11.15am depart
A slow circular walk to Blythe hill fields.
Bring water, sun cream, a hat if needed, walking aids.
Thursdays from Bellingham green:
6th, 13th, 20th of June
11th of July
Meeting at 2.50-3pm for 3.15pm depart
A slow walk to waterlink way with step free options if needed
Bring water, sun cream, a hat if needed, walking aids.
Both surgeries have kindly offered use of toilets and Jenner has said we can use a jug of water if needed to top up water bottles but only if needed on the day
Turn up on the day and join in!!
